Wick YFC New Members Night certainly didn’t disappoint, as we welcomed prospective members from around the vicinity.  It was a pleasure to see Father Craig from the local church come and offer his support.

 

With the various challenges set up around the hall and a table demonstrating our previous years activities with collages, scrapbooks, social media facilities, promo leaflets and newsletters it certainly was impeccably organised by the new team at the helm topped off with a table of delicious refreshments on offer.  Luke Morgan, our Chairman gave a perfectly pitched intro of life in Wick YFC to welcome all attendees before they set off in their teams on the challenges that lay ahead.  Games included building spaghetti bridges, devising a method to drop eggs from height without breaking, identifying famous landmarks & welsh personalities as well as some implements and fodder.  The final table held 6 mystery boxes filled with all sorts of sticky materials as teams reached in with trepidation to guess the object hidden deep within.  

 

It is fair to say members had enormous fun, intrigued with the intellectual challenges that lay ahead and a few surprises tucked away; the night certainly seemed a budding success.  The year ahead looks to be very promising with not only our new team of officers in situ but a very talented, eager and charismatic team of members backing them all the way.
